+ What’s new in Transkribus?

Automated Text Recognition technology is fast-paced and improving all the time.  The Transkribus team at the University of Innsbruck (the coordinator of the READ project) work hard to reflect this with regular updates of our Transkribus platform.  They are also busy adding new features and making tweaks to improve the user experience and fix any bugs.

When a new version of Transkribus is released, users can now get an overview of all of the updates that have been made to the platform.  A change log will appear in a pop-up box once the new version of Transkribus is installed and opened.

In Transkribus 1.4.0, there are lots of new features to explore.  Users can export their transcripts as simple txt files, benefit from a streamlined tagging interface and take advantage of the Hebrew and Arabic characters which have been added to the virtual keyboard.

And if you have any suggestions for new elements that you would like to see in Transkribus, we welcome feedback by email!
