Front-end Developer (f/m/x)

READ-COOP SCE is a community initiative that arose from the “READ” EU-funded project. Key Responsibilities

READ-COOP SCE is seeking a front-end developer to join our young (est. in 2019), dynamic, and growing technology company, working with an interdisciplinary team of developers, engineers and project managers. You will be working on the further development of our webapplication app.transkribus.eu. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Developing state-of-the art single page applications with Frameworks such as vue.js, angular or react
  • Working on the implementation of new features to optimize UX
  • Drafting architectural decisions together with the Tech Lead and exploring new technologies
  • Identifying and communicating technical improvements 
  • Building apps that allow users to leverage the power of AI
  • Working in a flat hierarchy setting & within an international team

Qualifications & Skills

  • The obvious: JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS 3
  • Practical experience as a frontend developer 
  • Experience with Frameworks (vue.js preferred but not mandatory)
  • Experience with REST APIs
  • You should enjoy challenging the status quo and encourage new ideas
  • Nice to have: some backend experience (Linux servers, SQL, …)
  • Experience in the creation of single-page web applications
  • Focus on UX
  • Fluent in English or German

  • Basic salary according to collective agreement for the IT sector: Minimum 30.000€ per year at 38.5h/week, however, final salary classification and higher remuneration will be determined according to qualification, experience, and skills
