The Norwegian Trident – Three New Public Models For Norwegian (& Danish)

The latest addition to the long list of Transkribus public models comes from the National Archives of Norway. Thanks to their efforts, not one, not two, but three new models for Norwegian (and also Danish) are now publicly available. Two of the models are for typewritten material: one for Danish-Norwegian typewritten transcripts and the other for Norwegian typewriting from 1940-1945. Both models have impressive CERs of less than 1%. The third of the three models, one could say the peak of the trident, is a handwriting model for Danish & Norwegian Handwriting from 1874–1891. This model is based on partition protocols for Sunnhordland, Norway. This Norwegian trident is now available to anyone—you can try them out now on our website.
