Back in January, we announced our new subscription plans: Individual, Scholar, and Organisation. Each plan is tailored to a particular type of Transkribus user, no matter if you use Transkribus for work, for studying, for research, or just for fun.
Since then, we’ve heard from many of you that you wish you could share credits with other members of your research team, particularly if you are all working on the same projects. And we thought this made a lot of sense. So today, we are proud to announce the latest type of Transkribus subscription: the Team plan.
The Team plan is ideal for small teams of up to five people who want to collaborate on projects. Not only is it cheaper than five separate Scholar subscriptions, but it also comes with some bonus features and benefits. Let’s take a look.
AI text recognition, model training, search, and much more…
In many ways, the Team plan is very similar to the Scholar plan. It gives you access to powerful AI text recognition, allowing you to transcribe documents at lightning speed. You can use the advanced document editor to manually transcribe documents for training data or other purposes. And, of course, you are able to train your own custom AI models, to tailor the transcription to your specific documents.
Also similar to Scholar — and unlike the free Individual plan — you benefit from priority processing, meaning your documents will be processed more quickly than those from users on the Individual plan. Likewise, if you have problems and need to contact Transkribus, that help request will also have priority.
So what’s the difference?
While the Team plan sounds pretty similar to the Scholar plan there is one key difference: the user seats. The Team plan is designed to be shared by up to five users at the same time, each with their own “seat”. Those five seats are not fixed to a particular person and can be re-assigned to different users as the project evolves.
The other unique feature of the Team plan is the possibility to share credits between users. When setting up the Team plan, you choose how many credits you wish to be included in the plan each month. These credits can then be shared freely among the team.
For example, at the start of the project, you could share the credits equally between everyone on the team. But if after a while, it turns out that only two team members are doing most of the document processing, then the other three can pass their credits on to these two users. This allows the team’s credits to be used as efficiently as possible and lets you adapt to the ever-changing circumstances of your work.
Would I benefit from the Team plan?
If you are in a small research or project team of up to five people, then the Team plan is most likely a more flexible and cost-effective option for you. Not only is it cheaper than purchasing five separate Scholar plans, but you have the added bonus of being able to easily share credits among the team, depending on the needs of the project.
How can I sign up for the Team plan?
Just like with all Transkribus subscription plans, you can sign up for the Team plan by heading to our Plans and pricing page, selecting your monthly page processing volume, and then selecting the Team plan. If you already have an Individual or Scholar plan, you can choose to upgrade to a Team plan.
Alternatively, if you are part of a larger research team and would like a subscription plan customised to your needs, an Organisation plan might be a better option for you. You can find out more about options and pricing by arranging a consultation with our team.
