Spanish Gothic 15th-16th Century

This general model is based on Spanish printed books in Gothic typeface and published between 15th-16th Century. Digitized images used to create the model come from different online repositories, mainly Biblioteca Digital Hispánica, the official repository of Biblioteca Nacional de España (BNE).

Around 20 pages per book were taken and several accomplished scholars participated in the transcription phase. The dataset of the current version corresponds to 20 documents, 25˙531 lines and 220˙904 words.

The model will be freely available inside the Transkribus platform, in the public model section. Its private usage is Open Access but its handling for distribution/publication requires giving appropriate credits to authors and publisher.
