Highlights from TUC 2024 

With over 80 speakers from around 40 countries, engaging presentations and thoughtful discussions, the Transkribus 2024 User Conference made us proud of what Transkribus and its community have become.

Technology enthusiasts, researchers and professionals from around the world came together in person or virtually for a unique and informative experience. The event provided a platform for knowledge sharing, showcased the latest advances in Transkribus technology and offered a glimpse into the future of document analysis and information extraction. So let’s take a moment to reflect on the highlights and takeaways from this year’s Transkribus User Conference.

Meeting our Users 

Our absolute highlight was meeting the heart of our community – our users! It was an amazing experience to hear their questions, discover how they’re making the most of Transkribus, and learn about all the fantastic projects they’re working on. 

With users from 25 countries attending in person in Innsbruck and 36 countries tuning in via Zoom, it was great to bring everyone together over a shared interest in Transkribus.

Diverse Topics and Talks

The TUC also had an incredible variety of topics and presentations. The different panels over two days provided a tour of different areas of study and research, with users from different backgrounds sharing their insights and experiences of Transkribus. What made it even more special was that these discussions weren’t limited to formal sessions – they blended into our social activities. Participants had the opportunity to share stories, exchange experiences and discover new opportunities for collaboration. It was a dynamic mix of learning and networking that added value to the conference experience.

The Transkribus User Conference provided a valuable platform for us to share updates, exciting news and our next steps with all of you, and we had the pleasure of presenting discoveries in the field of information extraction and text recognition, underlining our commitment to staying at the forefront of technological advances. What made this exchange so special was the opportunity to hear your feedback first-hand. Your insights help us to refine Transkribus and tailor it to better suit your needs and the different ways you use the platform.
