+ Transkribus featured as part of ‘A Year in Archives 2017’

We are thrilled to report that Transkribus has been featured in a leaflet published by the National Archives in the United Kingdom.  A Year in Archives 2017 showcases the innovative work that archives around the UK have been doing to collect and preserve local heritage and make it accessible to a wide audience.  The leaflet considers how the Bentham Project at University College London and The Linnean Society of London have been working with Handwritten Text Recognition technology.  It also explains that this technology can be applied to digitised collections of all types, dates and languages.  The leaflet will be sent out to archives around the UK – and we hope it will inspire even more UK collaborators to work with us.  Thanks to the National Archives for featuring us!
